About the Role
As our Data & MEL Specialist, you will take ownership of how monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) is embedded across Kiron. You will lead the development of our new MEL infrastructure - shaping how we collect, analyze, and use data to maximize impact. You’ll work across programs, connecting with teams from Product to Finance, to transform fragmented information into clear insights that drive smarter decisions, improve evidence-based program design, and strengthen donor reporting and fundraising. This is a unique opportunity to build systems and processes from the ground up, directly influencing Kiron’s strategy and impact in Germany-based labor market integration initiatives.
Your Tasks
Own and lead the development of Kiron’s MEL infrastructure by designing, implementing, and maintaining MEL frameworks, dashboards, and reporting standards across programs
Collaborate with program managers to track impact data and ensure quality and consistency
Support the development of Kiron-wide KPIs aligned with Kiron’s updated Theory of Change in collaboration with senior management
Build and optimize data systems to improve decision-making across staffing, project implementation, and organizational strategy
Translate quantitative and qualitative data into actionable insights for program improvement, donor reporting, and strategic planning
Document processes and provide guidance and training to the wider team to strengthen a culture of data-informed decision-making
Liaise with external partners, funders, and technical providers where required for reporting and evaluation

Established clear MEL and data processes across key programs
Improved consistency and reliability of reporting
Reduced manual reporting burdens and increased visibility on learner progression, program performance, and outcomes
Embedded a data-driven culture that informs strategic decisions and strengthens organizational impact
Your Profile
Essential Experience:
Proven experience building and improving MEL or data systems in programmatic organizations
Experience defining indicators, setting up and improving data collection, and translating data into actionable insights via analysis and reporting systems
Experience supporting reporting for grants, donors, or other external stakeholders
Familiarity with mission-driven organizations, ideally in education, social impact, labor market integration, migration, or related fields
Skills & Competencies:
Strong analytical skills with confidence in working with quantitative and qualitative data
Ability to structure and communicate data collection and reporting processes clearly
Experience with spreadsheets, dashboard tools (e.g. PowerBI), and CRM or learner management systems (e.g. HubSpot)
Knowledge of GDPR-conscious data handling
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
Structured, proactive, and curious mindset, with a collaborative approach to supporting colleagues from all teams
Interest in building (GDPR-compliant) AI workflows
Fluent in English; German proficiency is beneficial but not required
Degree or equivalent professional experience in data, social sciences, education, public policy, evaluation, economics, or a related field
Training or certification in MEL, data analysis, business intelligence, or evaluation methods is a plus

Our Offer
Working Hours, Compensation & Contract Length:
This is a full-time role with 40h capacity per week
The range foreseen for this role is between 54.000 € - 60.000 € gross yearly
This is an 18-months fixed-term position, with the possibility to extend
