Position Information

As Kiron’s Product Manager, you'll guide our nonprofit's journey into 2024 and beyond, shaping a learner-centric product ecosystem. Our aim is to deliver an exceptional experience for participants of our blended programs, alongside supporting our learning designers, program managers, and instructors. Part of your job will be to ensure consistent and close communication with internal stakeholders from NELE (New Learning), our subsidiary Kiron Digital, and our program/education team. This ensures effective addressing of their product requirements and proactive identification of collaboration opportunities.

Kiron Open Higher Education gGmbH is a non-profit organisation founded in 2015 with the mission to enable access to high-quality education for refugees and underserved communities through digital solutions. Our team of Kironistas is international, agile and thinks out-of-the-box. About NeLe

NeLe is a collaborative effort between universities and non-profit organizations, including Kiron, which aims to transform education by providing open e-learning programs for educators, teachers, and administrators across Germany to expand their roles and drive positive change in schools.

About the Role
In this role, you will:

  • Take the lead in guiding Kiron towards its product evolution by crafting product scenarios and strategic recommendations aimed at shaping the future of blended programs for displaced learners.

  • Work closely with your team, including engineers and UX designers, in collaboration with the Scrum Master, to leverage their skills and collectively explore and refine solutions that are valuable, usable, feasible, and viable.

  • Develop and maintain the product roadmap for all of Kiron’s Campus solutions, including backend functionalities.

  • Take ownership of managing and prioritizing the product backlog, ensuring readiness for refinement and planning activities.

  • Conceive new features, plan and execute project and feature roll-outs, conduct testing, and effectively communicate with stakeholders throughout the process.

  • Utilize data-driven approaches and market research to gain insights into customer needs and preferences.

  • Lead Kiron in crafting future product scenarios tailored to our learning programs and refugee learners, driving the planning and implementation process with your team.

  • Effectively manage and prioritize the product backlog to ensure alignment with Kiron’s overarching goals, emphasizing a positive "value to effort" ratio.
